Biology 220 Seminar
What I Was Supposed to Learn:
What I Actually Learned:
I took the Honors Bio series all through sophomore year but this final quarter with Tolga Bilgen was the absolute best. Annie and I threw together this presentation last minute and I swear we only got first place because we went last and people got tired of scoring harshly, our topic was just really interesting and our friend Brian scored everyone way worse than us. Our presentation is attached below, determine for yourself if you think it was first place worthy. No matter how we got it, still pretty cool to get first in the class.
- how to read scientific articles
- how to interpret scientific data
- be aware of relevant current studies
What I Actually Learned:
- if you go last your presentation will most likely get higher marks
- topic of interest is of utmost importance
- if all else fails, audience participation will save your presentation
